Abu Dhabi
The United Arab Emirates' capital, Abu Dhabi, is located on an island in the Persian (Arabian) Gulf off the coast of the mainland. Its emphasis on oil exports and trade is evident in the skyline's contemporary skyscrapers and megacenters of shopping, like Marina and Abu Dhabi malls. The enormous Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque can accommodate 41,000 worshippers and has a massive Persian carpet beneath its white marble domes.
Dubai
The United Arab Emirates' Dubai is a city and emirate renowned for its opulent retail establishments, cutting-edge architecture, and exciting nightlife. The skyline is dominated by the 830-meter-tall Burj Khalifa. The Dubai Fountain, whose jets and lights are timed to music, is located at its base. Atlantis, The Palm, a resort with aquatic and marine animal parks, is situated on man-made islands slightly offshore.
Ras Al Khaimah
The capital and largest city of the United Arab Emirates' Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah is Ras Al Khaimah. It ranks sixth in size among the UAE's cities, behind Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Al Ain, and Ajman. A creek splits the city in two, with Al Nakheel located in the east and Old Town located in the west.
