Arrive in Siem Reap, the cultural gateway to Cambodia and home to the legendary Angkor temple complex. On arrival at the airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Check in at the elegant Saem Siemreap Hotel, where the remainder of the day is at leisure. Relax after your journey, enjoy the hotel’s facilities, or explore the nearby markets, cafés, and local restaurants at your own pace.

Day 2: Siem Reap at Leisure

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and a full day at leisure in Siem Reap. This is the perfect opportunity to explore independently or join optional excursions to discover Cambodia’s rich heritage. You may choose to visit the iconic Angkor Wat, explore the ancient city of Angkor Thom, or wander through the vibrant Old Market area. Alternatively, enjoy a relaxed day with a spa treatment or café hopping around town.

Day 3: Siem Reap at Leisure

After breakfast, enjoy another day at leisure to further experience Siem Reap at your own pace. You may wish to explore lesser-known temples, visit local artisan workshops, or take a boat trip on Tonlé Sap Lake to see floating villages (optional). This final pre-cruise day allows time to unwind and prepare for the upcoming Mekong River cruise.

Day 4: Embark on the Mekong – Siem Reap → Kampong Cham, Cambodia

After breakfast and check-out from your hotel, travel by motorcoach to Kampong Cham to board your luxury Mekong river ship. Settle into your stateroom before enjoying a welcome dinner on board, the perfect opportunity to meet fellow travellers and your cruise team as your Mekong adventure begins.

Day 5: Riverside Traditions – Angkor Ban & Silk Island, Cambodia

Step ashore in Angkor Ban, one of Cambodia’s few villages preserved from the Khmer Rouge era. Wander through stilted wooden homes shaded by banana trees, experiencing daily life that has changed little over generations. Later, sail to Silk Island, renowned for its centuries-old silk weaving traditions. Visit a local elementary school and observe artisans handcrafting fine silk textiles before returning to the ship as it glides gently along the Mekong.

Day 6: Phnom Penh’s Heart and History

Arrive in Phnom Penh, Cambodia’s vibrant riverside capital. Tree-lined boulevards, colonial architecture, and bustling streets reflect both the city’s elegance and resilience. Choose between cultural highlights or deeper historical reflection before the evening concludes with a captivating Khmer folk dance performance on board.

Day 7: Royal Capitals and City Streets – Oudong & Phnom Penh, Cambodia

Travel to Oudong, Cambodia’s former royal capital. Ascend the hilltop for sweeping views of the plains and take part in a traditional Buddhist blessing ceremony for a peaceful start to the day. Return to Phnom Penh for a lively tuk tuk orientation tour through French Colonial avenues, tree-lined boulevards, and iconic landmarks including Wat Phnom.

Day 8: A Journey Between Lands: Mekong River | Cambodia → Vietnam

Enjoy a serene day cruising the Mekong River as your ship crosses the border from Cambodia into Vietnam. Watch the riverside scenery subtly transform while life along the riverbanks unfolds at an unhurried pace.

Day 9: Mekong Delta Delights – Tan Chau, Vietnam

Discover Tan Chau, a peaceful Mekong Delta town where traditional crafts and unspoiled river life thrive. Explore by trishaw, visit silk and rattan workshops, or take an active walking tour through local neighbourhoods. Alternatively, journey by sampan through the tranquil Tra Su Forest, home to lotus-filled waterways, cajuput trees, and rare birdlife.

Day 10: History and Local Life –  Sa Dec, Vietnam

Step ashore in Sa Dec, once home to French writer Marguerite Duras. Visit the vibrant local market, the Cao Dai Temple, or the historic Huynh Thuy Le House—often called the “Lover’s House.” In the afternoon, explore candy and rice-paper workshops or take an active walking tour to the historic Kiet Old House. Celebrate your final evening with a festive farewell dinner on board.

Day 11: Disembarkation & Departure – My Tho → Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Disembark in My Tho and transfer to Sofitel Saigon Plaza in Ho Chi Minh City. From here, continue your onward journey home.
